National Moth Night is an event jointly organised by Atropos (the journal for butterfly, moth and dragonfly enthusiasts) and Butterfly Conservation.

The aims of the event are:

• To encourage widespread moth recording and to gather useful data.
• To stimulate a wider interest in moths and raise their profile amongst the public.
• To raise funds for moth conservation projects.
